FreeDuring Science City’s Saturday STEM Seminars, local STEM professionals present hot topics in science, technology, engineering and math, as well as highlights of their education and career paths. A Q&A session follows. The seminars, geared toward students in grades 7-12, are open to the public. Registration is required, but walk-ups are welcome!
Platelets provide useful information about brain biology and biochemistry, which can be utilized for assessing the progress of neurodegenerative diseases. This presentation will serve as a guided tour of platelets; exploring them from the standpoint of simple curiosity to medical discoveries.
