Saturday STEM Seminar: How COVID-19 Changed the World

During Science City’s Saturday STEM Seminars, STEM professionals present hot topics in science, technology, engineering and math as well as highlights of their education and career paths. A Q&A session follows. The seminars, geared toward students in grades 7-12, are open to the public. Registration is required, but walk-ups are welcome!

In this session with Dr. Tiffany Edwards learn about the impact COVID-19 had on the world of modern medicine and the quest toward broad spectrum antivirals for future pandemics.

Dr. Edwards earned her PhD in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from Saint Louis University in 2019. She went on to pursue a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Minnesota Center for Drug Design. In 2021 she started her current position at MRIGlobal, where she has been working on a variety of research projects.
