If so, let’s celebrate them with a STEMMy Award!
Women in STEMM (WiSTEMM) is a Central Exchange movement designed to put a well-deserved spotlight on women in Kansas City working in the fields of science, technology, engineering, math and medicine. By focusing on successful STEMM leaders, WiSTEMM hopes to draw attention to the resource shortfall in these careers and provide inspiration for others to pursue careers in these areas.
This October, Central Exchange will proudly present the 11th Annual STEMMy Awards and celebrate the accomplishments of women business and civic leaders, students and educators, and entrepreneurs and advocates who work together to increase gender diversity and who excel in their STEMM field.
Nominate your colleagues, friends, or yourself by June 5 for the following categories:
- Student Achiever – recognize a college student with professional aspirations in a STEMM field
- WiSTEMM Educator – recognize an excellent educator in a STEMM field
- Enterprising Innovator – recognize a woman business owner who demonstrates industry excellence in a STEMM field
- Corporate/Organization HERO – recognize a company or organization who promotes women in a STEMM workplace and engages in the community
- Rising Trendsetter – recognize a woman who has demonstrated significant achievement early in her STEMM career
- Groundbreaking Leadership – recognize a woman who has 11 or more years of professional experience making significant contributions in a STEMM community
- WiSTEMM Champion – recognize a true bridge builder and advocate for women in STEMM fields
