$10Join us for the Museum at Prairiefire’s Science Happy Hour with Dr. David Krause and Bakoliarisoa Rakotozafy LIVE all the way from the Island Country of Madagascar Presenting: The Madagascar Paleontology Project: Science with a Social Conscience, or Neocolonialism?
Dr. Krause and Rakotozafy will highlight some of the fantastic discoveries from the Late Cretaceous of Madagascar made over the course of the last 30 years, including snaggle-toothed and dome-headed dinosaurs, vegetarian pug-nosed crocodiles, basketball-sized armored frogs, and mammals with swiss-cheese skulls. The talk will also focus on science-adjacent issues related to working with the people of Madagascar by helping children with both education and healthcare, developing in-country scientific infrastructure, and engaging the public about the island’s rich natural heritage.
$10 for non-members, FREE for Members. Beer, Wine and snacks included. Limited seating.
