SciFlix presents ‘Contagion’
October 8, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
FreeSciFlix is a community outreach effort designed around taking the science, the theories, and the ethics in popular fiction and discussing it openly and honestly. Each film will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Regnier Hall Auditorium on the KU Edwards Campus. After the film, a moderator will introduce a panel of experts who will provide their reactions to the film and their insights in a Q&A session with event attendees.
Special guests for Oct. 8 are Tony Fehr, PhD, who studies how Coronaviruses replicate and cause disease in their hosts at the molecular level at KU; and Catherine Satterwhite, PhD, MSPH, MPH, who is the Regional Health Administrator (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska) for the US Department of Health and Human Services.
The event is FREE including snacks, the film, a Kahoot trivia game for prizes and the panel discussion.
