Have you ever found a fossil and wondered what it was? Was it a dinosaur? During this Museum at Prairiefire spring break camp, participants will get a closer look at the animals that left these fossils behind. This camp is adapted from the museum’sPaleo Rocks middle school course and is designed specifically for early and late elementary ages.
Participants will learn how to dig up and identify fossils and will uncover the life of dinosaurs—how they searched for food, how they ate, how they looked, even figure out where they lived based on what’s inside their poo. Campers will also learn what makes Kansas fossils unique, and why that fossil you found in your yard looks so different from a dinosaur fossil.
Camp runs from March 14 -18 with optional days on March 11 and 21. Drop off from 8 to 8:20 a.m.; pick up from 3:30 to 4 p.m.
