KC FIRST

FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a national program that combines the rigors of science with the excitement of sports to engage students in STEM. The after-school robotics-based programs reach youth ages 6 to 18, starting with FIRST LEGO League Jr. and building to the high-school level FIRST Robotics Competition.

Each program engages students in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, inspire innovation and foster well-rounded life skills including self-confidence, communication and leadership.

KC FIRST manages regional competitions and support for the suite of FIRST Robotics programs, including: FIRST LEGO League Jr., FIRST LEGO League, FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics Challenge
