15 Jul 2018 Kebra Rios joins KC STEM Alliance team to coordinate FIRST Robotics volunteers

Kebra Rios is our new volunteer coordinator for FIRST events. You may have seen Kebra around—the Rios family is part of Bishop Miege’s Stag Robotics Team 1997, where Kebra served as a marketing mentor and team parent along with her husband, Louis. Her children, Andrew and Ruby, are both team alumni and still actively promote STEM opportunities for youth in the community.

Kebra has an undergraduate degree in consumer science and studied at the University of Newcastle in Australia, where she served as a Rotary International Good Will Ambassador.

“There’s so much I admire about what FIRST brings to the lives of young people,” Kebra says. “I look forward to making an even bigger difference in this new role.”
