Introduction to Design ChallengeRemake Learning Days-Kansas City is an innovative learning festival for families and youth taking place May 1-10. Explore something new and participate in fun, hands-on activities created for kids of all ages at libraries, schools, museums, tech centers, play spaces, community centers and more. The Remake Learning Teen Design Challenge seeks Remake Learning Days events created by teens for teens. Performing arts, poetry, coding, making, robots, advocating for a cause—the options are wide open. Share what you love with others and gain some marketable skills along the way!

How it Works

Now through February 25

Apply in teams of three or more

Include an adult sponsor or sponsoring organization like a club or school

Think about the types of event you would like to host

Submit this form by Feb. 25

Participate in the Design Challenge, March 1-12

Zoom with STARTLAND’s experts during sessions after school

Pitch your idea to a panel for chance to win a $250 to $500 micro grant to bring your idea to life plus a virtual internship to help you market and produce your event

Internship (April 5-30)

Receive marketing support and gain skills you can take to any setting as you plan your event
