With support from our funders, KC STEM Alliance collaborates on initiatives that change lives and make Kansas City thrive.

Funding from corporations and foundations provides manpower and limited grant making to assist K-12 STEM education during and after school—raising the overall level of education and increasing career and college readiness of students in our region. By identifying historically marginalized neighborhoods and schools, KC STEM Alliance targets additional resources where they are most needed. And we work with nearly all schools in the metro—including charters, private schools and 30-some public school districts. These connections make KC STEM Alliance the “go to” resource for collaborating on STEM initiatives across the region.

Industry sponsorships are essential to making this work happen, and benefits sponsoring organizations, too. When you sponsor KC STEM Alliance, you can:

Increase the number of students pursuing STEM careers in our own community, nurturing a highly educated, STEM-literate workforce

Expand the overall education level and creating stronger schools, which in turn attracts new companies and leads to long-term economic development for the Kansas City region

Improve employee loyalty and engagement—Research shows employees of companies with philanthropic programs and shared volunteer opportunities are more productive, loyal and engaged

Access clearly defined volunteer and mentoring opportunities that support strategic goals and offer hassle-free implementation

Develop lasting relationships with colleges, universities and professional organizations—helping recruit STEM-skilled employees

Industry Sponsorship Levels

One- to three-year financial commitments support KC STEM Alliance’s ongoing operations. These sustainable gifts allow KC STEM Alliance to plan strategically for the future. Corporations or foundations that give to KC STEM Alliance or its programs, including special initiatives, specific event sponsorships and durable in-kind gifts such as machinery or equipment, are recognized at these levels:

Platinum Sponsor: $50,000+

Gold Sponsor: $20,000-$49,999

Silver Sponsor: $10,000-$19,999

Bronze Sponsor: Any amount under $10,000

Targeted Giving

Sponsoring a specific event or program increases your brand’s visibility within a designated KC STEM Alliance community. Annual sponsorship opportunities include KC FIRST® competitions and workshops, Project Lead the Way® student events and teacher workshops and special initiatives. Contact us to learn more.

Your in-kind gift could create all kinds of possibilities.

In-kind donations are items or services that directly support KC STEM Alliance programs or administration. From printing and professional services to tools, equipment and supplies for students, your in-kind gift makes a difference.

Individual Giving

If you’re passionate about STEM education and want to make a difference in your own community, consider a financial gift to KC STEM Alliance or one of the specific programs we direct.
